Vietnam to build 1500MW pumped storage facility
According to the Vietnamese government’s website, the country will build a pumped storage hydropower facility with a total capacity of 1500MW in the northern mountainous province of Son La, in 2013.
It will be the first of its type in the country and Hoang Trung Hai, the deputy prime minister has given in-principal approval for the construction of the plant.
The plant is expected to be commissioned in 2018.
