Serbia to invest EUR9bn over five years in its power sector
Dragomir Markovic, director of Electric Power Industry of Serbia (EPS) told a news conference that his organisation is planning to invest EUR9bn (US$12.3bn) in new generating capacity, primarily via the regeneration of thermal and hydro power plants, together with renewables and some investments in the mining sector.
“Electric Power Industry will extract EUR3.5bn from its own resources. EUR2bn will be invested by strategic partners, and the rest will be provided from loans”, Markovic said
Mr Markovic added that EPS is preparing to call a tender for partners to build two thermal plants – Nikola Tesla B3 and Kolubara B, which together represent an investment of EUR2bn (Balkans.com Business News)
